Have a small VPN summary display that stays on top

When using VPN connection, I believe you have to be reminded all the time that you are connected via VPN. A small display space at the upper or lower corner of the screen would be much appreciated. The display would show a summary of the VPN setting all the time. The user may have the option to disable the permanent display if needed.
